A replica of the ancient Greek coin with the head of Alexander the Great on one side and Athena on the other.
This tetradrachm is one of the most popular and highly collected Ancient Greek Coins. One side has the head of Alexander, depicted with the horns of the ram of Zeus of Ammon (the god that Alexander had claimed as his father), indicating his posthumous deification.
The other side depicts Athena sitting, wearing a Corinthian helmet and the winged Nike perched on her right palm.
The Greek writes: “Lysimachus Basileos”, by King Lysimachus.
The original dates to the last quarter of the 4th century BC.
