Byzantine cross ring with the symbol “IXNK”
A beautiful handmade Solid Silver 925 byzantine cross ring.
This ring is inspired from the coins with King Konstantine and Queen Helen, from Byzantine era, and Medieval ages, where Knights Templar, wearing distinctive white mantles with a red cross, were among the most skilled fighting units of the Crusades.
On top there is a cross, and around it, the letters IXNK,
which means “Jesus Christ is victorious”.
Also, the letters NK are used as the greek word NIKA (wins), taken from the byzantine slogan: EN TOUTO NIKA = By this sign you will conquer. (meaning the cross sign).
From the inside, there is an engraving with King Konstantine and Queen Helen, and between them the cross of Christianity.
The cross was a symbol of protection through the battles, and was decorating from clothing to armory and of course jewelry and coinage of that time.
The whole ring is hand engraved.
